MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS

Michelle, Camp Coordinator

Hello, all my magical artists and makers. Welcome to what will sure to be another great summer at Glenhyrst. My name is Michelle and I am returning for my second year as Camp Coordinator. I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful community and cannot wait for more messy adventures. During the school year I am the Education Coordinator here at Glenhyrst Art Gallery. I spend the whole year sharing my love of art with the youth of our wonderful city, and it is such an amazing job!

I come from an art and education background, receiving my Honours Art History/Studio Art Degree from the University of Guelph and my Bachelor’s of Education from the University of Western Ontario.

As an educator, I truly believe in art. Art gives us all a voice. There is no right or wrong. Art gives us the ability to solve problems, overcome obstacles and discover the unknown. As artists we are able to become fearless leaders and innovators. It is a truly wonderful thing to be a maker and a creator, and we cannot wait for you to join us and share in the art love. Here is to another wonderful summer of discovery, adventure and paint covered hands.
