Group Tours
Visual art is diverse, dynamic and exciting. The opportunity to see original artwork is an experience that everyone should have. For those who enjoy the outdoors, we also offer seasonal, spectacular garden tours which also feature outdoor sculpture. For dates and times, inquire at the Gallery.
All tours must be booked in advance. A deposit of $25 is due upon reservation for an Exhibition or Garden Group Tour. This deposit will not be returned if the visit is cancelled less than 5 working days before the confirmed booking date. (Note: This information does not apply to Day Tour Packages)
EXHIBITION TOURS
Yearly: Tuesdays to Sunday: 45 minutes — $2/Child, $3/Adult (min.20)
Learn about technique, texture, size and true colour – just a few elements one can experience during a tour of the Art Gallery. Tours at Glenhyrst are a service that we are proud to be able to offer. Our tour guides will take your group through the exhibition. They encourage conversation and discussion about the work and provide insight on the artist, technique and interpretation. Please call ahead so that we can make the most of your visit. Please add time to browse in the Giftshop. (TEACHERS: please refer to the School Tours and Workshops section of this site)
GARDEN TOURS
Seasonal: Tuesdays to Sundays: 45 minutes — $5/Adult (min.10)
We invite groups to come share the experience of the many beautiful views the gardens offer in the summer. Tours include descriptions of the rare species of plants, discussion of the formal beds of annual perennial flowers and identification of the various trees and shrubs that surround the estate. Visitors are also introduced to the many contemporary outdoor art sculptures complementing the existing landscape and are a part of the gallery’s Permanent Collection.
Please inquire about Exhibition/Garden Workshops available. Workshops are 1 hour extra at an extra cost of $2/person.
DAY TOUR PACKAGE
Seasonal: 5 hours — $29/person (min.20), unless noted.
For your delight, we have organized four separate Day Tours, each featuring gardens that inspire the arts, heritage, culture and adventure. Each day tour begins in the morning at Glenhyrst Gardens, includes a delicious lunch at a selected restaurant, then continues in the afternoon at either the Bell Homestead, Sweet Grass Gardens, Canning Perennials or (back to) Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant for an exhibition tour.
