Glenhyrst Art Gallery’s Annual Family Arts Day will be held on Sunday May 26, 2019, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Glenhyrst Gardens, 20 Ava Rd. Brantford.

Family Arts Day is also one of the finale events for the Brant Museum Crawl, a series of cultural events held at arts and culture organizations throughout the city during May, (Museum Month). For more info on Brant Museum Crawl go to www.brantmusuemcrawl.ca.

As in other years, Family Arts Day will be filled with 35+ booths with art activities for children and performers on stage throughout the day.

Many community businesses and local non-profit organizations are geared up to participate; each bringing their own personalized activity to the event. We will also have a number of makers and artisans selling their unique products.

Children’s activities include; canvas painting, clay, duct tape creations, flower planting, oil pastels, chess and more. Children are also invited to take part in the World’s Largest Portrait Selfie Exhibit by drawing and submitting a hand-drawn self-portrait. Portraits will be hung for exhibit at Glenhyrst for the week after Family Arts Day in our Gallery Nouveau space. We also invite families to bring a picnic and stay for the day.

Live performances from the Guitar Society of Brantford members, Avalon Music Academy Students, and a demonstration by Tom Robertson Self Defence.

This is a FREE event, all are welcome. There will be food and drinks available for sale and desserts to top it off.
