WINTER WORKSHOPS

Relief Printmaking Intro and Next Steps with Aliki Mikulich, BA Fine Arts

Sunday March 3, 2019
Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Fees: Non-mem: $80  Members: $60

Relief Printmaking is a technique where artists carve a block of material (wood, lino, linosoft), ink the protruding lines and print repeated images on paper and other materials using inks. In this 6 hour workshop participants will work on a 4 x 6 piece of linosoft to create an image that will be printed repeatedly to create an edition of prints. A second, more complex image will be created after the first preliminary work, to allow for error correction and advanced application of the process and will use black plus one other colour. The second part of the session will have instruction on how to create a more complex product using the reduction method of carving and printing using black and another colour. For more information visit our website. All materials included in cost of registration.
